I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
